Bozel is a fantastic skiing location (click here to go to skiing page), but there is much else to do. The clear blue sky magnifies the pure white snow which cloaks the lakes, forests, and rivers of the Vanoise National Park. All tastes are catered for, from cross country skiing to upmarket shopping

Cross Country Skiing - there are circuits of 1, 2, 4, and 5km for all levels aound the Forest of Chevelu.

Walks in the snow - from the village of Champagny and from the plateau of Champagny le Haut, there are four walks marked (according to snow conditions). One trail follows the cross-country skiing trails.

Artificial Ice Tower - a new artificial tower for ice climbing, 20m high (the only one in Europe), offers various levels of difficulty. Supervision, sessions, courses and seminars are available. Natural ice climbing is available in Champagny le Haut.

Bozel Mairie and church (behind) - Christmas Eve 2006

Snow Shoe walking - experience the charms of hiking on snow shoes and make your tracks on virgin snow, in a forest of spruce trees. A shuttle bus from Champagny le Bas to Champagny le Haut gets you to the trails

Non-skiers - are well catered for with beautiful villages and shops to explore as well as facilities for dogsledding, ice fishing and ice skating. Why not just relax on the sunny balcony of Chalet Courchevel and leave the strenuous activities to others? Shoppers will enjoy a stroll around the shops and weekly markets at the major resorts. Bozel itself is a charming old French village offering traditional hospitality with plenty to see and do
